Jammu, 10 June (H.S.): Civil Society here today paid rich tribute to the Martyr Amarjeet Sharma on his first martyrdom anniversary.
A commemorative function was organised in this regard at martyr’s native village Mela in Hiranagar.
Prominent among those who paid tributes to the martyr were Sat Sharma, president J&K BJP, MLA Ramgarh Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, MLA Vijaypur Chander Parkash Ganga, MLA Hiranagar Vijay Kumar Sharma, District BJP president Kathua, Updesh Andotra, Kuldeep Raj, Prem Dogra, Raghunandan Singh Bablu, Gopal Mahajan, Devyani Rana, Rakesh Choudhary, Gian Pathania, Nidhi Sharma, Abhinandan Sharma, Karan Atri, Mukesh Padha, Som Sharma, Sethu, ex-servicemen and other prominent civil society members.
Family members of the martyr, including parents, brother Ram Gopal Sharma, wife Manju Devi, along with SDM Hiranagar, Tehsildar, DySP, and other government officials were also present on the occasion.
Sat Sharma while paying rich tributes to the martyr lauded the supreme sacrifice of Amarjeet Sharma. He said that the nation is indebted to such martyrs whose bravery and dedication continue to inspire generations.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, Chander Parkash Ganga and Vijay Kumar Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
