Kokrajhar (Assam), 10 June (HS): On the initiative of the Central Committee of Sarva BTC Minority Students Union (ABMSU) and in collaboration with the Kokrajhar District Committee, a protest public awareness meeting was organized at Salakati Idgah ground in Kokrajhar district against the alleged harassment of the alleged genuine Indian citizens of Assam by calling them foreigners.
This protest public awareness meeting was organized on Tuesday. The atmosphere in Salakati Idgah ground was fierce. Slogans like Himanta Biswa Sarma Go Back, Pramod Bodo Go Back kept resonating.
ABMSU expressed strong resentment against the government. The organization termed the action of targeting only religious minorities on the basis of their dress, language and declaring Indians as Bangladeshi foreigners as unacceptable. The BJP coalition government was strongly criticized.
ABMSSU central committee president Tyson Hussain warned that if Pramod Bodo, who did not ask about their well-being even once during the crisis, comes to the minority community to seek votes during the BTC elections, he will be given a befitting reply.
