Bahraich, 10 June (HS): Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath, while targeting Congress, SP and other parties, asked
why Maharaja Suheldev and other great men did not get respect earlier. Why
grand memorials, medical colleges, universities were not built in their names
earlier, because they were worried about the vote bank. They (opposition) were
afraid that the policy of appeasement might fail if they named institutions
after great men. Due to the Muslim vote bank, the people of SP and Congress did
not speak a single word against the foreign invaders.
The Chief Minister was addressing
the Vijayotsav program of Maharaja Suheldev in Masihabad Gram Sabha of
Chittaura block on Tuesday. Chief Minister Yogi inaugurated the Maharaja
Suheldev Memorial built at a cost of 40 crores here and also unveiled a 40 feet
high bronze statue of Maharaja Suheldev. Apart from this, the Chief Minister
inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 384 development projects worth
1243 crores and also planted saplings under 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam'.
In the program, Chief Minister Yogi
said that when BJP was celebrating the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar
Vallabhbhai Patel in the country and state. Prime Minister Modi installed the
biggest statue of Sardar Patel in the name of Statue of Unity in Kevadia
Gujarat, then Samajwadi Party was praising the nation-breaker Jinnah. When we
used to talk about celebrating the Vijayotsav of Maharaja Suheldev, then there
was a competition between SP and Congress that the marriage of Ghazi Miyan
should take place. We said that the glorification of foreign invaders should be
stopped and national heroes should be respected. CM thanked those who
completely stopped the events being held in the name of Ghazi from this time.
CM also remembered Maharaja Balbhadra Singh on the birth anniversary.
The Chief Minister said that the
medical college of Bahraich has been named after Maharaja Suheldev, the
hospital has been named after Balark Rishi and the state university of Azamgarh
has also been named after Maharaja Suheldev. This program is an expression of
respect towards great men. The Chief Minister said that the main event of
Bahraich will be in the name of Maharaja Suheldev, Balark Rishi and the main
event of this Mandal will be in the name of Maa Pateshwari. Not in the name of
any foreign invader.
The Chief Minister said that the
foreign invader from Ghazni had set out to loot India with an army of three
lakhs, but Maharaja Suheldev with his diplomacy created obstacles for him at
every step from Mathura to Bahraich. By the time he reached here, half of his
army had been wiped out. In Chittaura, Maharaja Suheldev along with 20-25,000 brave
warriors had slaughtered 1.5 lakh invaders of Salar Masood like carrots and
radishes. Salar Masood was caught alive here. He was given such a punishment,
which according to Islam guarantees going to hell.
Congratulating the BJP and SBSP
officers, the Chief Minister said that your enthusiasm since morning proves
that the fair of Maharaja Suheldev should be held, not of Salar Masood.
Referring to the Panch Pran of Prime Minister Modi, the Chief Minister said
that respect for heritage means Maharaja Suheldev. Freedom from the mentality
of slavery means a complete ban on the events held in the name of Salar Masood.
The vision of a developed and self-reliant India has to be realized by
following the teachings of duties given by Baba Saheb through the Constitution
and adopting the resolutions of Modi in life. The Chief Minister said that
Prime Minister Modi had vowed that national heroes should be respected. History
may have done injustice to Maharaja Suheldev, but the double engine government
will not let injustice happen to him, because a great man like him is a symbol
of valor and courage. Those who participated in the war along with Maharaja
Suheldev and saved India's land and religion from the heretics were also
deprived of facilities.
