Gorakhpur, 10 June (HS): A man has
also gone missing, according to authorities on Tuesday, after his
three-year-old daughter went missing three days ago in the Pipraich region.
Nitya went missing at 6.30 p.m. on Saturday from her maternal grandparents'
residence in Pipraich's Ambedkar Nagar Ward 4. Despite several searches, no
sign of her has been discovered. Her father, Jogendra, went missing on Sunday
as well. According to authorities, Jogendra, a worker, was acting strangely in
the days after Nitya's disappearance, repeatedly removing himself from the
search operation under various pretexts. He got away from police surveillance
on Sunday and hasn't been seen since. His abrupt absence has sparked
considerable concerns. Jitendra Srivastava, Additional Superintendent of
Police, stated that we are now considering this as a dual missing case and are
investigating all possible scenarios.
Jogendra's wife Radhika and
mother-in-law Geeta Devi claim they are unaware of his whereabouts. Even when a
police team lead by Inspector Purushottam Anand Singh visited his hometown of
Bolchaha, Padrauna (Kushinagar district), residents revealed their ignorance. Six
police units have been dispatched to search for the missing. We are hopeful of
finding the youngster shortly.
Srivastava stated that no avenue of investigation is being ruled out.
