Kaushambi,
13 Dec (HS): A man and his wife perished when their motorbike collided with a
roadside tree in this region on their way home from a feast, authorities
reported on Saturday. Authorities cited low visibility owing to fog in the
region leading to be likely cause of mishap. Mahesh Prasad, SHO of Charwa
police station, said the motorbike lost control and crashed into a mango tree
late Friday night on the Manouri-Bharwari road near Samaspur village. The
accident was so violent that the husband, Ajay (25), and his wife, Radha Devi
(23), both from Pantalwa village in Prayagraj district, perished on the scene.
The SHO stated that after the feast, Ajay was driving his wife, Radha Devi, to
her parents' home in Mitwapur village when the event occurred. Radha's mother
was riding another motorbike a little distance ahead of her when the tragedy
occurred. When she heard a loud impact, she glanced back to see her daughter
and son-in-law laying on the side of the road, authorities said. When the
police received the information, they went to the scene and sent the remains
for post-mortem.
