Supplementary budget will strengthen educational system in

council schools and provide better facilities to students

Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh says, govt committed

to providing quality, cultural and equal education to every child

Lucknow, August 04 (HS): Under the leadership of Chief

Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government is continuously taking

important steps towards further strengthening the state's primary education

system. In this regard, a provision of Rs. 35,125.64 lakh (Rs. 351.2564 crore)

has been made in the supplementary budget for the smooth functioning of primary

and upper primary schools, effective implementation of student welfare schemes,

and strengthening of infrastructure. This amount will not only improve the

educational environment in council schools but will also provide new impetus to

the overall development of students.

Sandeep Singh said that the Yogi government's resolve is to provide quality,

cultured and equal education to every child in the state. He said that

education is not just a means of acquiring knowledge, but is the most powerful

foundation for social justice, equal opportunity and nation building. With this

thought in mind, the government is continuously strengthening the primary

education system. He said that the funds approved in the supplementary budget

will be used for effective conduct of educational activities in primary and

upper primary schools, smooth implementation of the Mid-Day Meal Scheme,

various welfare schemes run for students and further strengthening the

necessary arrangements of the schools.

Minister Sandeep Singh said that in recent years, the Yogi

government has worked extensively to transform council schools. Expansion of

school infrastructure, clean and safe campuses, availability of modern teaching

resources, and a better learning environment have increased the confidence of

parents and students in government schools. Now, this provision in the supplementary

budget will further strengthen these efforts.
