Seminar organized on Partition Horrors Memorial Day

Prayagraj, 14 Aug (HS): Speaking as the chief guest at a seminar on Partition

Horrors Memorial Day held at the BJP office in Civil Lines on Friday, the eve

of Independence Day, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya

said that it is important to inform the new generation about the inhuman

tragedy of violence and displacement that occurred during 1947. He emphasized

that remembering this past suffering inspires us to maintain the nation's

integrity and unity.

Keshav Maurya said that the genocide and displacement that

occurred during Partition should not be hidden. It is essential to make the new

generation aware of this horror so that such incidents do not recur. This day

makes us resolve to keep the nation's unity and integrity paramount. Thanking

the Prime Minister for exposing these dark chapters of history, the Deputy

Chief Minister said that what happened in 1947 is still happening in Pakistan

and Bangladesh. India is not only the world's largest democracy, but also its

mother. He said that when the spirit of Nation First becomes our

life's resolve, India will soon become the world's greatest power. The

government is committed to continuously strengthening the nation's unity,

integrity, and social harmony, remembering history.

Special guest of the event, BJP State Vice President Shankar

Giri, said that Partition Horrors Memorial Day is not just a page

in history, but a deep wound inflicted on our nation's heart, the pain of which

can still be felt today. When our country was gaining independence in 1947, we

had to pay a heavy and painful price for that freedom. The walls of religion

and politics divided a once-happy nation into two parts. Mother India's cloak

was torn apart, and history witnessed the largest and most violent displacement

in human history. It is of utmost importance for us to learn from this history.

Our new generation must understand how precious our freedom and integrity are.

On this occasion, an exhibition related to the Partition

Horrors was also organized in the office, which Deputy Chief Minister Keshav

Prasad Maurya visited and paid tribute to those who suffered the pain of

Partition. The program was chaired by Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta and

conducted by General Secretary Dr. Shailesh Pandey. Dr. VK Singh, Awadhesh

Chandra Gupta, MLA Guru Prasad Maurya, Neeraj Tripathi, Vinod Prajapati, Ranjit

Singh, Rajendra Mishra, Rajesh Kesarwani, Vikramjeet Singh Bhadoria, Anand

Sonkar, Anuj Kushwaha, Ramesh Pasi, Vijay Srivastava, Ajay Singh, Pawan

Srivastava, Vivek Mishra, Sujit Kushwaha, Mohit Gupta, Praveen Bharti etc. were

present in large numbers.

Public problems heard in public darshan: Earlier, on Friday at the Circuit

House, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, while interacting with party workers,

said that they should remain fully engaged for 2027. Only hard work will bring

victory. The countrymen are seeing how the opposition wasted the time of the

Parliament. The opposition has no issues. There should be no laxity in

strengthening the organization at the booth level. If the booth is strong, the

path to victory will also be easy. Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta,
