Prayagraj, 14 Aug (HS): On Friday, the students and teachers

of Maharshi Patanjali Group of Schools (MPGS) enthusiastically participated in

the Chinmaya Amrit Yatra, organised by Chinmaya Mission to commemorate the

75-year legacy of the Chinmaya Movement. The occasion was graced by Pujya Swami

Mitranand ji and Pujya Swami Abhedanand ji.

Prior to the procession, an insightful orientation session

on “ SHIFT ” was conducted by Pujya Swami Mitranand ji. The session focused on

helping students understand the purpose of life and the relevance of the

Bhagavad Gita, presented in a language and context relatable to Gen Alpha.

The Yuva Veers engaged the students through interesting

activities highlighting the importance of aligning vision with action. This was

followed by an enriching Question-and-Answer session, which addressed the

students’ queries and further deepened their understanding. The Amrit Yatra

commenced from All Saints Cathedral and proceeded towards Subhash Crossing, led

by the spirited Yuva Veers.

Wisdom on Wheels, a beautifully designed bus depicting the

life journey, teachings, and legacy of Pujya Swami Chinmayananda ji, led the

procession with grandeur. Earlier that day, the Amrit Vahini was brought to the

school, providing students and teachers an opportunity to explore articles and

books used by Swamiji himself.

The rally witnessed the enthusiastic participation of the

Swamis, Yuva Veers, teachers, and students, who joined with great zeal and

vigour. As part of the 75-year celebrations, the Charan Paduka and Bust of

Pujya Swami Chinmayananda ji were carried in a beautifully decorated open

palanquin.

Dr. Krishna Gupta, President of Chinmaya Naveen Sevashram

Nyaas, Prayagraj, Vice President of Chinmaya Mission, Prayagraj, and Secretary

of Maharshi Patanjali Group of Schools, expressed her gratitude to the revered

guests for the enriching interaction. Inspired by the session, she expressed

her resolve to explore engaging and innovative ways of teaching the Bhagavad

Gita in a manner that connects with the younger generation.

Alpona Dey, Principal, MPVM, expressed her deepest salutations

to the esteemed guests and urged the students to imbibe at least one good

virtue from the day’s session and incorporate it into their lives.
