Nagaon (Assam), 10 August (HS): A young woman was killed in a road accident while travelling by motorcycle for a Bol Bom pilgrimage in Nagaon district on Monday early hours.

According to police, the incident occurred in the Rangalu Eleven Mile area under Kathiatoli when the woman fell from the motorcycle. She was subsequently run over by a container vehicle and killed on the spot.

The deceased has been identified as Parisrmita Das, a resident of Phulguri. Police reached the spot after receiving information, recovered the body and sent it to a hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police have registered a case in connection with the accident and launched an investigation.----------
