UPTET-2026 concludes peacefully in all 60 districts of the state


Lucknow, 04 July (HS): Under the Yogi government's

cheating-free and transparent examination system, the written examination of

advertisement number-01/UPTET/2026 Teacher Eligibility Test for primary level

(classes 1 to 5) and upper primary level (classes 6 to 8) was successfully

conducted in all 60 districts of the state on 02, 03 and 04 July 2026. Dr.

Prashant Kumar, Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection

Commission, informed that the upper primary level examination was conducted in

two shifts on 02 July 2026 and in the first shift on 03 July 2026, in which

10,57,055 candidates, i.e. 87.25%, participated against the total registered

12,11,459 candidates. The primary-level examination was held in the second

shift on July 3, 2026, and the first shift on July 4, 2026. Of the 783,202

registered candidates, 713,659 candidates, or 91.12%, took the exam. Female

participation was 87.00% in the upper primary level examination and 90.85% in

the primary level examination.

Of the 3,79,316 registered candidates, 334,775, or 88.00%,

participated in the first shift of the exam held at 955 examination centers

across the state on Saturday, July 4. Thus, out of the 19,94,661 registered

candidates, 17,70,714, or 88.77%, participated in the exam.

Members and retired IAS and IPS officers were nominated as

observers in all 60 districts. All observers inspected the arrangements by

continuously visiting the examination centres during the examination. During

the examination, all the examination centres were closely monitored from the AI

Integrated Control Command Room established in the Commission in the presence

of the Chairman, Members, Secretary, Controller of Examinations and Deputy

Secretary and the activities of the examinees were continuously monitored

through AI cameras installed at the examination centres.

After checking the suspects during the examination with the

help of AI based software, a total of 44 fake candidates were caught appearing

in the examination in place of other candidates on 02 July 2026, 11 on 03 July

2026 and 19 on 04 July 2026 in various districts of the state and on 03 July

2026 one candidate was caught trying to cheat in the examination hall using

mobile. All of them have been handed over to the local police for further legal

action. Apart from this, the examination was conducted smoothly in a

transparent, cheating-free, clean, smooth and timely organized environment at

all the designated examination centers of the state.

Chairman Dr. Prashant Kumar expressed his gratitude to the

relevant district administration and police administration, the Vigilance

Department, and the Special Task Force (STF) for their active cooperation in

successfully conducting the Teacher Eligibility Test. He also expressed the

Commission's gratitude to all candidates, center administrators, observers, and

administrative officers/collaborators.
