
Balrampur, 04 July (HS): A case has been registered against
25 Nepalese people at the Jarwa police station in Balrampur district, Uttar
Pradesh, on charges of possessing dual citizenship. They are accused of
fraudulently obtaining various government documents and living in various areas
of the district for several months.
Tulsipur Police Circle Officer Abhay Kumar Mall said on
Saturday that a named case has been registered based on the complaint of
Sub-Inspector Shambhu Singh. The investigation is ongoing. A case has been
registered against 25 people including Abdul Qadir Siddiqui, Salim Siddiqui,
Abdul Aleem, Khutija Khatoon, Abdul Wahid, Karim Siddiqui, Samiullah, Abdul
Rehman, Nisar Ahmed, Abdul Rahim, Zakrunisha, Zahid Khatoon, Halima Khatoon,
Reshma, Kamal Ahmed, Jameela, Shahid Akhtar, Sanaullah, Nisrat, Nursaba, Yasir
Arafat, Osama, Sanaullah and Anas Siddiqui, Fatima Siddiqui and Sonu.
According to the case filed, these people are residents of
Nepal, but their names are also registered in many Indian documents. It is
noteworthy that the Constitution of India recognizes only single citizenship.
