
Closing ceremony and prize distribution takes place in presence
of Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak
Lucknow, 04 July (HS): On Saturday, the second day of the
mango exhibition held at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Gomtinagar, Lucknow, a
highly engaging and enjoyable Mango Eating Competition was
organized for children. A total of 27 children enthusiastically participated in
this competition, organized for children aged 8 to 12, as part of the Mango
Festival 2026, an initiative of the Yogi government.
During the competition, each participating child was given
two kilograms of mangoes to eat, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. The
venue echoed with the children's laughter and the cheers of the spectators.
According to the competition rules, the children who ate the most mangoes in
the stipulated time were declared winners. These winning children will be
awarded prizes on the closing day of the exhibition.
The final day of the exhibition, July 5, 2026, will begin
with a key technical session focused primarily on food processing. Experts will
discuss modern technologies and possibilities. The grand closing ceremony and
prize distribution ceremony will be held at 4:00 p.m. The chief guests at the
closing ceremony will be Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar
Pradesh, and Dinesh Pratap Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for
Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Foreign Trade, and
Agricultural Exports. During the closing ceremony, all winners who excelled in
the exhibition's various competitions will be honored with prizes by the
guests.
