MINSK, July 27 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Belarus has been ramping up trade with Israel in 2026, expecting exports in goods to set a new record of $170-180 million, Belarusian Ambassador to Israel Yury Yaroshevich said on Monday.

Never in the entire history of our bilateral relations — and next year will mark 35 years of our diplomatic relations — have we seen this volume of Belarusian exports to Israel. This year, we'll export $170-180 million worth of goods alone, he told journalists in Minsk on the sidelines of a meeting with heads of Belarusian diplomatic missions and consular offices.

The diplomat emphasized this was an outstanding figure, compared to the previous record of slightly more than $100 million.

Yaroshevich said that Belarusian construction goods and lumber were in demand in Israel, while its canola oil had overtaken exports from Estonia and Germany this year. He added that Belarus was working to obtain kosher certification for Belarusian products, calling this a promising niche.
