
Guwahati, 27 July (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday paid heartfelt tributes to former President and renowned scientist Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on his death anniversary, remembering him as the Missile Man who played a pivotal role in taking India to new heights in space launch vehicle technology and ballistic missile development.
The Chief Minister said Dr Kalam's visionary leadership enabled India to establish a distinct identity in the fields of science and technology. Besides his remarkable scientific achievements, he also made invaluable contributions as the country's 11th President.
Describing Dr Kalam as the People's President, Dr Sarma said he continues to inspire millions of young Indians with his life, vision and dedication to nation-building. He paid deep respects to the legendary scientist, recalling his enduring legacy and service to the nation.-----------
