TEHRAN, July 16 (HS/RIA Novosti) - The Iranian Foreign Ministry said it summoned UK Ambassador to Iran Hugo Shorter, following London's decision to accuse Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of posing a security threat.
On Tuesday, the UK Foreign Ministry accused the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Qods Force of involvement in attacks in Europe, and summoned Iranian Charge d'Affaires Ali Nasimfar.
The British Ambassador to Tehran was summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, where a strong protest was lodged against this hostile move, the ministry said on Wednesday, calling London's decision unjustified.
The Iranian ministry also stated that it would not leave any legislative initiative by the UK directed against Iran unanswered.
