
Kathmandu, 16 July (H.S.): Nepal's Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav paid a courtesy call on the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in Doha on Wednesday. According to the Office of the Vice President, the high-level meeting took place at Lusail Palace during Yadav's official visit to Qatar.
Vice President Yadav travelled to Qatar to convey condolences on behalf of the Government and people of Nepal following the demise of Qatar's former Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
During the meeting, he expressed profound sympathies to Amir Sheikh Tamim, the Qatari royal family and the people of Qatar, while praying for strength and fortitude for them during this period of mourning.
On the occasion, Vice President Yadav also handed over a formal message of condolence from Nepal's President Ram Chandra Paudel to Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Members of the Nepalese delegation and senior officials of the Qatari government were also present during the meeting.
