
Lord Jagannath will wear peacock feather crown during Rath
Yatra
Prayagraj, 14 July (HS): Shri Jagannath Ji Mahotsav Samiti
Trust performed the crown worship of Lord Jagannath, Goddess Subhadra and
Balabhadra Ji and the Neel Chakra worship of Lord Jagannath Ji brought from
Puri Dham as per the rituals at Arya Bhawan Zero Road by the Trust's President
Durga Prasad Gupta.
Rath Yatra coordinator Rajesh Kesarwani stated that all
preparations have been made for the Rath Yatra festival, scheduled for July 16.
During the Rath Yatra, Lord Jagannath will wear a silver crown, the Sri Mukut,
adorned with a jeweled peacock feather, and his brother Balabhadra will wear a
crown called the Tahiya, which will feature a jeweled image of Sheshnag. And
Goddess Subhadra will wear a crown called Kirit, which will be adorned with a
jewel-studded crescent.In the evening, Lord Jagannath was offered light snacks
and a medicinal decoction, and aarti (worship) was performed.
Present on this occasion were Dau Dayal Gupta, Gagan Das
Gupta, Jairam Gupta, Kanhaiya Lal Gupta, Sanjay Gupta, Pappu Kalash, Amar
Rastogi, Rajesh Kesarwani, Triloki Kesarwani, Vijay Vaishya, Raju Gupta, Yatharth,
Kartikeya, Deepu, Mahesh Soni, Arun Sahu, Poonam Gupta, Preeti Gupta, Ajay
Agrahari, etc.
