Prayagraj, 07 June (HS): “Fitness Ride” programme was successfully organised at SHUATS campus under the joint aegis of Fit India Movement, Agrivision and Sports Authority of India of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

On this occasion, the chief guest, Dr. Deepak Kumar Bose, coordinator of the National Service Scheme, stated in his address that by embracing fitness, we can all make a valuable contribution to the nation through positive contributions to health. Cycling helps us educate society about the long-term benefits of fitness. On this occasion, Ashish Massey, Head of the Department of Physical Education, highlighted the benefits of cycling. Highlighting environmental protection, he said that our planet will remain habitable only if we all work together to educate people about preventing environmental pollution. Dr. Praveen Charan, Director of Extension, Rakesh Sahu, Assistant Professor of Physical Education, Dr. Wilson Jaberson, Professor of Computer Science, Dr. Nitin Barkar, Aman Singh, research scholars, and numerous university students were also present.

University faculty and students enthusiastically participated in the program. This event spread a positive message of health, physical activity, and a fit lifestyle. Participants were also encouraged to incorporate regular exercise and cycling into their daily lives.
