Firozabad, 07 June (HS): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister

Keshav Prasad Maurya attacked the Congress and the Samajwadi Party in Firozabad

on Sunday. He said that by the 2029 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress at the

Centre and the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh will be removed from their role

as opposition parties. The public will find a new alternative. Uttar Pradesh

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya arrived in Firozabad on Sunday as

the chief guest at an event celebrating Ahilyabai Holkar's birth anniversary.

After landing at the Police Line helipad, he was given a guard of honor, after

which he proceeded to the venue at Paliwal Hall. He also interacted with

reporters during the event. When asked about the future of the India Alliance,

he said that the alliance had already disintegrated in 2024, and the public had

already seen its true nature.

Maurya said that the opposition, led by Congress leader

Rahul Gandhi, has completely failed to fulfill its role. He alleged that the

opposition is limited to negative politics and rhetoric. The Deputy Chief

Minister claimed that by the 2029 elections, the position of the Congress and

the Samajwadi Party will be further weakened, that Congress will cease to be

the opposition in the central government and the SP in the state, and that the

public will seek new alternatives.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the

Samajwadi Party has no history of respecting saints and Ram devotees. He

alleged that the party, which opened fire on Ram devotees and neglected saints,

is now trying to portray a different face for vote bank politics, but the

public knows its true character.

Regarding Akhilesh Yadav's statement about questioning the

BJP over the High Court's comments, the Deputy Chief Minister said that just as

the BJP is being questioned, the opposition should also introspect on its role.

He stressed that the public is watching everything and that in a democracy; the

final decision rests with the public. Regarding the High Court, the

government's lawyers will present their case there. He categorically rejected

allegations that the police were acting as agents of the BJP. Maurya said this

was a result of the opposition's mentality and political outlook.

On this occasion, BJP District President Uday Pratap Singh,

MLA Prempal Dhangar, MLA Manish Asija, Dr. Amit Gupta, Satish Diwakar along

with a large number of BJP officials, workers and people of Baghel community

were present.
