being run from June 1-30, 2026 by the Department of Agricultural Extension and

Communication, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and

Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj, Naini, farmers and rural communities are being

made aware about soil conservation, sustainable use of natural resources and

sustainable agricultural practices.

The main objective of the campaign is to inspire farmers

about the importance of healthy soil, soil health management, water

conservation, organic farming, and environmentally friendly agricultural

techniques. According to experts, healthy soil is the foundation for improved

crop production, increased agricultural productivity, and economic prosperity

for farmers. To promote this objective, the university is conducting extensive

public awareness programs.

awareness among farmers in line with the national efforts being made to promote

soil conservation and sustainable agriculture under the leadership of Dr. Mangi

On this occasion, Agricultural Extension Research Scholar

Nikhil Tiwari, Field Assistant Nitish Kumar, and Young Scientist Dr. Joy Samuel

McCarthy (Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, SHUATS) called on farmers,

students, and the general public to actively participate in the campaign. They

sustainable agricultural system for future generations.
