
Bhubaneswar, 30 June (H.S.): The Odisha Vigilance has unearthed assets worth crores during simultaneous searches conducted at properties linked to Dhanurdhar Biswal, Establishment Officer-cum-Office Superintendent at VIMSAR, Burla, in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
According to Vigilance officials, the searches have so far led to the detection of two buildings, including a double-storeyed residential house measuring approximately 1,650 square feet at Dhankauda in Sambalpur and another building at Gudesinga. Investigators have also identified 20 valuable plots located on the outskirts of Sambalpur town, allegedly held in the names of Biswal and his family members.
The Odisha Vigilance Technical Wing is currently carrying out detailed measurements and valuation of the buildings and land parcels to ascertain their market worth.
During the raids, officials also recovered cash amounting to Rs 19.72 lakh, along with one Hyva truck, one Renault Kiger SUV, two tractors, and three two-wheelers.
The verification process is still underway. Vigilance teams are assessing the weight and value of gold jewellery recovered during the searches, while details related to bank deposits, postal savings, insurance policies, and other financial investments are being scrutinised.
The searches are continuing, and the total value of the assets is expected to increase as the investigation progresses. Further action will be taken based on the outcome of the ongoing probe.
