Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid the
foundation stone for 70 development projects, including the curtain raiser
ceremony of the fourth edition of the UP International Trade Show (UPITS) in
Gautam Buddha Nagar and the main administrative building of the Noida
Authority. Addressing the program organized on this occasion, the state's
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary said that with
the development of the MSME sector, we are not only realizing the dream of a
self-reliant India, but are also making our presence felt on the global stage.
MSME Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary said that under the
leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the
second largest economy in the country and is soon going to become a one
trillion dollar economy. Before 2017, it was believed that Uttar Pradesh was
the biggest obstacle in the country's development, but today under the
leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh appears to be
leading the country's development journey. MSME units have played a huge role
in this path of economic development of the state. Today, there are more than
90 lakh MSME units in Uttar Pradesh and about 3.50 crore people are associated
with these units.
Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary said that to further strengthen
the MSME sector in the state, the MSME department, under the able leadership of
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has taken several creative initiatives. Under
the ODOP scheme, the Chief Minister has launched the innovative initiative of
One District, One Cuisine to establish a unique national and
international identity for traditional products from various districts of the
state. Provisions have been made to enable related businesses to meet
international standards by providing funding, training, assistance schemes,
financial packaging, and quality branding opportunities. The process of
providing training to small enterprises in the micro sector through food
technology and packaging has also begun.
He informed that to promote capital investment in the state,
14 pledge parks have been established under the Pledge initiative under the
leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, through which more than 700 plots
have been allotted. Extensive land banks have also been established for the
establishment of industries through the scheme operated on the PPP model.
Advanced tool kits have been provided to more than 600,000 traditional artisans
and handicraftsmen under the Vishwakarma Shramik Samman Yojana and ODOP scheme.
Under the MSME Policy 2022, capital investment subsidies, interest subsidies,
and stamp duty exemptions have also been made available to units. Flat
factories are being developed in Kanpur Nagar, Agra, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, and
Ghaziabad. Work has been completed in Kanpur and Agra.
Minister Chaudhary stated that the Chief Minister's Youth
Entrepreneur Development Campaign has achieved significant employment
opportunities across India. Since the scheme's launch in January 2025, loans
worth approximately Rs. 7,500 crore have been distributed to over 180,000
youth, and this process is ongoing. Like previous editions of UPITS, this
year's fourth edition is being held in Greater Noida between September 25th and
29th. This year's event will be larger than in previous years. Efforts are
underway to ensure the participation of as many foreign buyers as possible by
contacting Indian embassies abroad. Through this show, Uttar Pradesh's economic
progress initiatives will be presented to the nation and abroad. By organizing
B2B meetings, efforts are being made to provide new markets to the state's
enterprises.
