
Lucknow, 23 June (HS): Uttar Pradesh Minister Suresh Kumar
Khanna stated on Tuesday that harsh action will be taken against those
responsible for the Lucknow fire catastrophe, which killed at least 15 people,
and that the state government would not spare anyone found guilty, regardless
of rank. Khanna extended condolences to the victims' families and said Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath has immediately ordered an investigation into the
event. He stated, This is a deeply distressing incident. We support the
bereaved family. Our condolences are with them, and we ask God to give them the
fortitude to bear this tragedy. I guarantee the whole state and country that
under Yogi ji's government, we would keep our commitments.
He went on to say that anyone found guilty, regardless of
status, will face severe consequences. The Chief Minister has already given
orders to take action against those guilty. An FIR will be filed, an
investigation will be undertaken, and action will be taken.The smoke was the
only cause of death for all fifteen victims.
Meanwhile, the Lucknow Police have shut off the building in the Aliganj Police
Station location where a large fire killed at least 15 people, and general
public access has been barred while forensic and fire department teams prepare
to collect evidence from the scene. A large police presence remained on the
scene late into the night to safeguard the area and aid in the continuing
investigation into the event.
