
Mumbai, 21 June (HS): Mumbai hosted the 12th International
Yoga Day celebrations, which were headed by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra
Fadnavis. During the Yoga on the Beach event, he commended Prime
Minister Narendra Modi for popularizing the discipline for stress management
and overall wellbeing. Fadnavis emphasized that yoga remains an old foundation
of Indian culture that is being actively employed to promote healthy society.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis participated in
the worldwide events for the 12th International Day of Yoga in
Mumbai, emphasizing the subject Yoga For Healthy Ageing. Fadnavis complimented
Modi for promoting yoga throughout the world and urging people to use it to
manage stress and stay healthy.
He remarked, I wish everyone a very happy
International Day of Yoga. Yoga Vidya is a traditional aspect of our culture.I
thank our Prime Minister for ensuring that Yoga Day is celebrated in every
country around the world, and I would like to appeal to all of us that with the
stress and challenges that we face today, if we want to stay healthy, only
Yogasana and Yoga Vidya can keep us fit and healthy.” Legislative Council
Chairman Prof. Ram Shinde, MP Ravindra Waikar, MLA Ameet Satam and other
dignitaries were present.
