
Mumbai, 21 June (HS): In the presence of Chief Minister
Devendra Fadnavis, the 'Yoga on the Beach' program organized on the occasion of
the 12th grand International Yoga Day at Juhu Beach, Mumbai, concluded today. Chief
Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that yoga is an extremely ancient and rich
healing system of India, and the entire world has recognized the importance of
yogic knowledge. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a
proposal to celebrate International Yoga Day was presented in the United
Nations. Chief Minister Fadnavis noted that this proposal was unanimously
approved by the member states of the United Nations in an extremely short
period, which is a matter of great pride for India.
“For shaping a powerful and healthy society in the future,
it is essential to promote and propagate Yoga Vidya to an ever greater extent. For
the creation of a powerful and healthy society in the future, the promotion and
propagation of Yoga Vidya to the maximum extent is extremely necessary,”
remarked Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis while addressing the gathering.
Today, yoga has spread widely across the entire world, and
there is immense curiosity about yogic knowledge. The diseases arising from the
current lifestyle and non-communicable diseases are a major problem, and yoga
is an extremely effective solution for them. Through regular yoga practice, an
individual develops the capacity to remain joyful in any situation and face
challenges. Chief Minister Fadnavis emphasized that for building a strong and
healthy society in the future, it is essential to further promote and propagate
yogic knowledge. Additionally, extending greetings on International Yoga Day,
Chief Minister Fadnavis gave a message to everyone to stay healthy on this
occasion.
