
Guwahati, 20 June (HS): As part of the ongoing Ambubachi Mela celebrations, nearly 500 Naga sadhus undertook a religious padayatra from Kamakhya Gate Nursery to the Kamakhya Temple premises on Saturday morning.
The procession, which began at around 9:30 a.m., was marked by an atmosphere of devotion and spiritual fervour. A large number of saints and devotees participated in the march, which proceeded peacefully from the Kamakhya Gate area to the temple complex.
Central Guwahati MLA Vijay Gupta joined the padayatra and accompanied the Naga sadhus throughout the route. He also extended his support and services to the saints during the religious procession, highlighting the significance of the annual pilgrimage associated with the Ambubachi Mela.------------
