Lucknow, 20 June (HS): Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister
of Uttar Pradesh, strongly supports a nationwide effort to celebrate the
progress and transformation of India's Northeast area. His administration's
#12YearsOfRisingNorthEast campaign emphasizes how the area has moved from
neglect to extraordinary connection and wealth. CM Yogi and the UP BJP promote
the Northeast as the nation's Ashtalakshmi (eight auspicious
goddesses), viewing it as a sign of togetherness and cultural pride. The #12YearsOfRisingNorthEast
rhetoric focuses on enormous infrastructure growth, such as increasing the
number of functioning airports from 9 to 17, developing national highway
networks, and linking outlying areas to the national railway network. The
campaign emphasizes the region's historic drop in insurgent occurrences, as
well as the signing of over 12 significant peace treaties, which are paving the
way for a digital and economic gateway.
UP CM penned a post on X, stating, “Under the leadership of
the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, Northeast India has traversed
a historic journey from 'neglect to excellence.' Renowned as 'Ashtalakshmi,'
the Northeast today has emerged as a strong foundation for 'Viksit Bharat' with
better connectivity, rapid development, growing investments, and new
aspirations. This 'New Northeast' of peace, prosperity, and possibilities is a
radiant chapter in India's progress. #12YearsOfRisingNorthEast”
