Prayagraj, 02 June (HS): Responding to a question during the
meeting and the discussion on trade, President Lalu Mittal said that the
so-called state unit and its district factions, who were pretending to close
the drug market, made an unsuccessful attempt to close drug stores across the
state on May 20, which was nearly thwarted by drug dealers. Their pretense of
being well-wishers fell flat. Lalu Mittal explained how online companies are
offering customers discounts of 30 to 50%, while wholesalers' margins range
from 5 to a maximum of 10%, and retailers' margins are 16 to 20%. The truth is
that these large companies are colluding to provide huge discounts to online
platforms.
Senior land grabbing leaders of the so-called organization and their big
wholesale drug dealers are also involved in this entire game, who supply
medicines to them and are earning huge profits. They are calling for a bandh to
fulfil their vested interests. Why are they not organising a bandh movement
against those troubles, arbitrariness, anti-rule and unethical activities? Due
to which the existence of drug dealers is in danger? Due to the nexus between
online drug dealers and big companies, the arbitrariness of pharma companies is
at its peak today. Settlement of expiry/breakage is being done by force and
purchase details are being asked for. Settlement of expiry/breakage is not
being done if purchase details are not made available.
Many pharma companies have reduced the margins of wholesalers and retailers. It
is surprising that the so called organization is silent on the above issue. RCDA
will oppose their deception and pretense, we drug dealers have now completely
understood this. The Indian Government has also now understood this game of
these organizations and very soon you will see unexpected results.
