Dubai, June 16 (HS): Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that the end of the recent conflict involving Iran should also include an end to Israel's presence in southern Lebanon, according to Iranian state media.

Iranian state television reported on Tuesday that Araghchi made the remarks during a briefing with foreign diplomats. The broadcaster quoted him through an on-screen graphic but did not air the comments directly.

According to the report, Araghchi also said that Israel's continued presence in southern Lebanon would be inconsistent with the memorandum of understanding reached between the United States and Iran.

Details of the interim agreement between Washington and Tehran have not yet been released publicly, and the contents of the understanding remain unclear.

There has been no immediate response from Israel regarding the remarks attributed to the Iranian foreign minister.
