Emphasis on data-based monitoring and effective teaching,
Nipun Sankalp workshops will strengthen the education system: Minister Sandeep
Singh
Lucknow, 13 June (HS): Under the leadership of Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government will organize
Nipun Sankalp Workshops in all districts of the state in July to
further strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) and improve
learning outcomes in schools. These workshops, to be held at 33 centers across
the state from July 6 to July 31, 2026, will ensure the participation of Basic
Education Department officials, educational experts, and district-level teams.
Minister of State for Basic Education (Independent Charge)
Sandeep Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,
unprecedented changes are taking place in the field of education in the state.
The Nipun Bharat Mission is ensuring the development of basic language and
mathematical skills in children. He added that the proposed Nipun Sankalp
workshops will play a crucial role in developing an effective strategy for the
2026-27 academic year, improving the quality of schools, and ensuring quality
education reaches every child.
He stated that the Yogi government's goal is not merely to
increase enrollment, but to ensure real improvement in the learning level of
every child. Through workshops, concrete action plans will be developed at the
district and block levels to improve the Nipun Vidyalaya goals, Nipun 2.0,
kindergarten operations, data-based monitoring, and learning outcomes. He
expressed confidence that these efforts will benefit millions of children in
the state with quality and results-oriented education.
The workshops will bring together district basic education
officers, block education officers, DIET principals, ARPs, SRGs, DIET mentors,
and district coordinators to discuss strategies for enhancing educational
quality. The academic strategy for the 2026-27 academic year, the scheduled
academic calendar, school-level activities, and the Achievement School goals
will be reviewed.
The workshops will develop strategies to improve learning
outcomes based on findings from the PARAKH national survey. Special emphasis
will be placed on setting annual targets at the district, block, and school
levels, regularly reviewing them, and strengthening data-based monitoring
systems. The department's goal is to ensure continuous assessment of learning
levels in each school and take timely corrective action.
As part of the expansion of the Nipun Bharat Mission,
goal-based teaching for grades 3 through 5, a 10-point toolkit for effective
classroom teaching, catch-up teaching, and proposed improvements to Nipun Plus
will also be discussed in detail. Additionally, a strategy will be developed
for the effective operation of kindergartens and the effective implementation
of a structured teaching method based on the Teacher's Guide for grades 1
through 5 in schools.
The workshops also covered topics such as reviewing
departmental priorities, effective use of the AIPFSAC portal, improved
coordination between BEOs and ARPs, action plans for school quality
improvement, and providing effective feedback to teachers. These efforts will
significantly strengthen educational leadership and ensure quality education in
the state's schools.
