Achievements of Central and State Govts shared in media
interaction program in Mathura
Lucknow/Mathura, 13 June (HS): A media interaction program
was organized in Mathura on Saturday as part of the 12 years of trust,
development, and public welfare campaign launched to mark the completion
of 12 years of the central government. Speaking to media representatives at the
event, Sandeep Singh, Minister of State for Basic Education (Independent
Charge), Government of Uttar Pradesh, shared in detail the central government's
achievements related to public welfare schemes, good governance, digital
transformation, women's empowerment, farmer welfare, and upliftment of the
poor.
Sandeep Singh said that under the leadership of Prime
Minister Narendra Modi, the pledge of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka
Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas has been realized on the ground in the last 12
years. The government has developed a transparent system based on DBT and
Aadhaar to deliver benefits of schemes directly to eligible beneficiaries. As a
result, millions of fraudulent beneficiaries have been removed and savings of
approximately Rs. 4.31 lakh crore have been ensured.
He said that through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna
Yojana, free rations were provided to over 81 crore people. Under the Jan Dhan
Yojana, over 58 crore bank accounts were opened, including those of over 32
crore women. Under the Mudra Yojana, over 57 crore loans have been sanctioned,
providing self-employment opportunities to millions of youth and entrepreneurs.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, farmers
across the country are receiving assistance of Rs. 6,000 per year directly into
their accounts. So far, more than Rs. 4.3 lakh crore has been transferred to
over 11 crore farmers. The expansion of the Kisan Credit Card Scheme has
provided farmers with affordable loans, strengthening the agriculture sector.
He said that through the Ayushman Bharat scheme, millions of
poor families have received free health coverage. More than 600 million
Ayushman cards have been issued nationwide. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas
Yojana, more than 40 million families have been provided with permanent
housing, while nearly 110 million women have been provided free LPG connections
through the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
Sandeep Singh said that the Digital India campaign, led by
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given new impetus to the country's
development journey. Through the BharatNet project, 2.14 lakh gram panchayats
have been connected with broadband connectivity. Government schemes are now
monitored through digital dashboards, ensuring transparency and accountability.
He added that the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) has made the government
procurement process more transparent and effective.
Referring to achievements in the field of health and
sanitation, he said that 23 new AIIMS and medical institutions have been
approved in the country. More than 54 million children have been vaccinated
under Mission Indradhanush. The Swachh Bharat Mission has brought about
historic changes in sanitation by constructing more than 120 million toilets.
Meanwhile, the Jal Jeevan Mission has provided access to pure drinking water to
more than 160 million households.
Minister Singh said that the 12 years of the central
government are not just a record of achievements, but a strong foundation for
building a developed India. Today, India is confidently moving forward towards
becoming a developed nation, based on the welfare of the poor, women's
empowerment, farmer prosperity, digital transformation, and good governance.
On this occasion, he mentioned the effective implementation
of central and state government schemes in Mathura district and said that more
than 3.10 lakh farmers have benefited under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman
Nidhi Yojana. Lakhs of beneficiaries have been provided assistance through
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, PM Swanidhi, Ayushman
Bharat, Kanya Sumangala Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana and various
pension schemes. More than 9.62 lakh Ayushman Golden Cards have been issued in
the district and more than 4.64 lakh families are being provided free ration.
Rajya Sabha MP Tejveer Singh, Mayor Vinod Agarwal along with
public representatives, party officials and media representatives were present
in the media dialogue program.
