
Nalbari (Assam), 10 June (HS): The Indian Army, under the aegis of the Red Horns Division and Gajraj Corps, organised a motivational weapon display for 550 NCC cadets participating in the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-42) of 1 Assam Battalion NCC, Guwahati Group at JNV Nalbari on Wednesday.
The programme featured the latest infantry weapons, small arms and military equipment currently in service with the Armed Forces. Army personnel briefed the cadets on the technical features, operational applications and maintenance of the equipment, providing them with firsthand insight into the ongoing modernisation of the Indian Army.
The event was aimed at fostering a greater understanding of the dedication and sacrifices of soldiers while encouraging values of patriotism, discipline and responsible citizenship among the youth. During interactions with Army personnel, the cadets displayed keen interest in the equipment and military operations, with several expressing aspirations to pursue careers in the Armed Forces.
Officials said the initiative strengthened the bond between the Army and the youth of Assam while reinforcing the NCC’s core values of unity and discipline. The programme also served as a platform to motivate young cadets towards nation-building and service to the country.----------
