Kolkata, 10 June (H.S.): West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday allocated portfolios among members of his newly constituted Council of Ministers, formally setting the administrative framework of the new BJP government in motion. According to a notification issued by the Home and Hill Affairs Department, the Chief Minister has retained several key departments while assigning major portfolios to Cabinet Ministers, Ministers of State with Independent Charge and Ministers of State.

Chief Minister Retains Key Departments

Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has retained charge of the Home and Hill Affairs Department, Land and Land Reforms and Refugee Relief and Rehabilitation Department, Power Department, Information and Cultural Affairs Department, and Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department. He will also oversee all departments not specifically allocated to any other minister.
