New Delhi, May 28 (H.S.): Congress General Secretary (Communications) Jairam Ramesh has hit back at Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over his remarks targeting Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi for repeated electoral defeats. Ramesh said that such statements define Pradhan’s political conduct, while he himself has created chaos for millions of students and has proved to be completely ineffective as a minister.
In a post on social media platform X on Thursday, Ramesh alleged that Pradhan had not only undermined the dignity of the Parliamentary Standing Committee but was now also attacking the Leader of the Opposition. He claimed that the Education Ministry had become a centre of mismanagement.
He further stated that the government was responsible for both the NEET and CBSE controversies, adding that despite the failure of the National Testing Agency (NTA) in 2024, the government continued to shield Pradhan.
Earlier, after a high-level meeting with CBSE officials, Dharmendra Pradhan had told reporters that Rahul Gandhi was opposing the country’s scientific progress due to frustration arising from repeated electoral defeats. Pradhan assured students that he personally accepted responsibility for any inconvenience caused by the system. He also stated that no one would be spared if any irregularities were found.
