Cachar (Assam), 20 May (HS): A police operation conducted at Gumra under Katigorah in Assam’s Cachar district led to the detention of three Bangladeshi nationals, including a woman last night.

According to police sources, the detained individuals have been identified as Mohammad Awal, Mohammad Harun and Rina Akhtar. The operation was carried out by Gumra Police following specific inputs.

Police said the trio is currently being interrogated and necessary legal procedures have been initiated. Authorities have also launched a detailed investigation to ascertain how they entered the state and whether any local network was involved in facilitating their stay.----------
