
Kolkata, 20 May (H.S.): West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has indicated that he will be present in Falta on the day of vote counting for the upcoming bypoll, underscoring the importance his government is placing on the constituency.
Sources said he would visit the counting centre on the day of results and personally meet the winning candidate after the declaration of results. He also added that he would ensure close coordination with party workers during the counting process.
The re-election in Falta has drawn significant political attention, with the ruling party intensifying its campaign efforts in the region. Adhikari has been actively leading roadshows and public meetings in the constituency in the final phase of campaigning.
Party leaders said his planned presence on counting day is aimed at boosting the morale of local workers and ensuring organizational oversight at a crucial stage of the election process.
