20 May (HS): After assuming office, the state's Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
(MSME) Minister, Bhupendra Chaudhary, held a departmental review meeting in
Room No. 80 of the Assembly Hall and directed officials to further strengthen
the role of the MSME sector in making the state a developed state. Minister of
State, Hansraj Vishwakarma, was also present on the occasion.
Minister
Chaudhary stated that creating a favorable environment for entrepreneurs in the
state is the government's top priority. He directed that adequate support be
provided to entrepreneurs at every level, from enterprise establishment to
production, marketing, and export, so that investment and employment
opportunities continue to grow. While reviewing departmental progress at the
meeting, it was revealed that more than 9.6 million MSME units are currently
operating in the state, providing employment and self-employment to over 30
million people. Furthermore, the MSME sector contributes approximately 46
percent to the state's total exports, reflecting its economic importance.

Bhupendra Chaudhary said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath, the department's schemes will be implemented expeditiously. He
directed that youth and traditional artisans be made self-reliant through the
Chief Minister's Youth Self-Employment Scheme and the Vishwakarma Labor Honor
Scheme. Additionally, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes
should be prioritized and included in the schemes.
Emphasizing
the effective implementation of the Chief Minister's Micro Enterprise
Accident Insurance Scheme and the Uttar Pradesh Micro Small
Industries Technology Upgradation Scheme, he said that entrepreneurs
should be empowered with both safety and modern technology. He also directed
the establishment of private industrial parks in the state and the
modernization of all district industry centers.
Minister
Chaudhary expressed confidence that the MSME sector will play an important role
in establishing the state as a leading and developed state of the country and
through this, large scale employment opportunities will be created for the
youth. Principal Secretary MSME Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil, Special Secretary Shishir,
Commissioner and Director Industries K. Vijayendra Pandian and departmental
officers were present in the meeting.
