Innovates 2026' will give new direction to children

Lucknow,

20 May (HS): The Yogi government is launching the Bharat Innovates

2026 campaign to connect children studying in council schools and

Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) with modern technology, innovation,

and scientific thinking. Through this campaign, for the first time, children

studying in government schools in villages and towns will be introduced to the

concepts of deep technology, research, and innovation. In accordance with the

guidelines of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, various

activities will be organized in all council and KGBV schools of the state

during May 2026. These activities include a symposium on the 'Innovation

Landscape of Developed India', special classes on 'Deep Technology', an 'India

Quiz' competition, and essay writing, to develop children's curiosity,

creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

The

government aims to ensure that modern education and innovation reach even the

most marginalized children. To achieve this, technology-based learning,

participatory activities, and innovation-based programs will be promoted in

schools. In addition, programs will be made effective by engaging local

voluntary organizations and experts, and documentation of activities will be

ensured.

Minister

of State for Basic Education (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh said that the

Yogi government's effort is to prepare every child of the state for the future

by connecting them with modern education, technology and innovation. Through

the 'Bharat Innovates 2026' campaign, students of government schools will develop

a scientific outlook, innovative thinking and competitive ability. This

initiative will not only make them academically competent, but will also make

them self-reliant and globally competitive. He said that through such

activities in council and KGBV schools, children will get the opportunity to

develop technical knowledge and understanding of innovation at an early stage,

which will enable them to face the challenges of the future in a better way.

The

government is already working to modernize the education system through

programs like the Nipun Bharat Mission, smart classes, digital monitoring, and

school rejuvenation. The Bharat Innovates 2026 campaign is

considered a key initiative in this series, which will help connect the state's

children to the mainstream of technology and innovation.
