02 May (HS): Under the leadership of Divisional Railway Manager, Prayagraj

Division, Rajneesh Agarwal, the Railway Administration successfully vacated the

unauthorisedly occupied land of the Railways in the Gaughat area of Prayagraj

Junction premises today on Saturday under the encroachment removal campaign. This

important operation was carried out in a well-planned and effective manner,

coordinated by Additional Divisional Railway Manager (General), Deepak Kumar,

with the support of the district administration. In a joint operation, teams

from the railways, the Railway Protection Force (RPF), and the civil

administration were present on the scene and carried out the operation in a

peaceful and orderly manner.

During

the operation, approximately 6,500 square meters of railway land, which had

been illegally occupied, was freed from encroachment. The estimated market

value of the land is approximately Rs 100 crore. This action is an important

step towards ensuring the protection and proper use of railway assets.

Divisional

Engineer (Estate) V.K. Tripathi, Assistant Divisional Engineers (ADEN) Praveen

Kumar Srivastava and Ramchandra Singh, Senior Section Engineer (SSE/IOW) Shashikant

Tiwari, SSE/IOW/HQ Satya Prakash and about 20 employees of the Railway

Engineering Department were actively involved in this campaign. On behalf of

the Railway Protection Force, Assistant Security Commissioner Suresh Yadav and

Inspector in-charge Prayagraj Amit Meena were present along with their staff

(about 24 personnel).

The

campaign was successfully completed in the presence of Assistant Commissioner

of Police (Atarsuiya) Nikita Srivastava, Naib Tehsildar Rajesh Kumar Yadav,

Inspectors-in-Charge of various police stations – Kydganj, Atarsuiya, Kotwali, Dhumanganj

and Khuldabad – and about 60 police personnel from the district administration

and civil police.

The

Railway Administration has clarified that any unauthorized occupation of

railway land is completely illegal and strict action will continue in such

cases in the future. The public is urged not to encroach on railway land and to

report any such activity to the relevant authorities. Through such campaigns,

continuous efforts are being made by the Railway Administration to ensure the

safety, security and systematic use of railway assets.
