Bhubaneswar, 02 May (H.S.): The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, today announced the results of the Annual High School Certificate (HSC) Examination. This year, the overall pass percentage stood at 95.33%.

The results were announced at the BSE office in Cuttack, in the presence of School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond.

For the High School Certificate Examination 2026, a total of 5,44,670 students had filled out the application forms. Out of these, 5,36,306 students appeared for the examination, while 8,364 students remained absent.

A total of 5,19,251 students in the regular category successfully cleared the examination, including 2,56,099 boys and 2,63,152 girls. Gajapati district recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.31%.

Among the successful candidates, 2,456 students secured A1 grade, 15,681 obtained A2, 43,565 were placed in B1, and 86,103 in B2. Similarly, 1,29,813 students passed in C grade, 1,46,152 in D grade, and 95,481 in E grade.

In the ex-regular category, out of 1,433 candidates who appeared, 217 students passed, registering a pass percentage of 14.16%.

This year, a total of 5,61,979 students appeared for the examination across 3,082 centres in the state. The exams were conducted between February 19 and March 2, 2026.

The Board informed that scorecards will be available online from 6 PM onwards on the official websites — www.bseodisha.nic.in and www.bseodisha.ac.in. For the first time, certificates of successful candidates will be issued in both Odia and English.

In comparison, the pass percentage in 2025 was 96.7%.

As many as 3,310 schools recorded a 100% result.

In the Madhyama Examination 2026, a total of 3,358 students had filled out the forms, of whom 2,982 appeared for the examination, while 376 remained absent. A total of 2,931 students passed the exam, recording a pass percentage of 87.3%.

For the State Open School Examination 2026, 12,378 students had applied. Out of them, 10,043 appeared for the examination and 2,335 were absent. A total of 7,405 students passed, registering a pass percentage of 59.82%.

In the HSC 2026 results, Gajapati district secured the highest pass percentage at 99.31%, while Kendujhar district recorded the lowest pass percentage at 94.35% in the state.
