02 May (HS): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak attended the
workshop Anemia Prevention in Uttar Pradesh (Steps towards
Progress) held at King George's Medical University on Saturday. Addressing
the program, he said, We must all jointly combat anemia. The government
is taking concrete steps in this direction. Patients are being treated with
state-of-the-art equipment. Patients suffering from anemia are our top
priority. Uttar Pradesh will play a crucial role in realizing the dream of an
anemia-free India.
Deputy
Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that this is not just a formal event, but a
shared mission to protect the future generation of our state. Uttar Pradesh is
moving forward with all its might to realize the dream of a healthy India
envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the government has
placed the commitment to an anemia-free India at the top of its priority list.
The government is very serious about patients suffering from anemia and
concrete efforts are being made in this direction.
Pathak
stated that health services have been updated. The use of modern equipment like
digital hemoglobinometers has been expanded to villages. He added that to
combat this disease, the government has focused not only on resources but also
on skills. More than 10,000 medical officers and staff nurses across the state
have been trained in this treatment. The
Deputy Chief Minister said that we must ensure real-time tracking of anemia
patients by leveraging digital technology. We must empower and empower our ASHA
and ANM sisters to ensure that no beneficiary is left outside the safety net of
testing and treatment.
Souvenir
Released: On the occasion of the workshop, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak
also released a souvenir dedicated to the National Conclave on Anemia
Reduction. The souvenir discusses in detail various important topics related to
the prevention and treatment of anemia.
On
this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sonia Nityanand, Director General, Family
Welfare Dr. Haridas Agarwal, Director General, Training Dr. Ranjana Khare, Dr.
Anju Agarwal, Dr. Monica Agarwal, Dr. Shuchi Agarwal, Dr. Gunjan Taneja from
Gates Foundation, Dr. Shailendra Hegde and other dignitaries were present.
