India Pasmanda Muslim Mahaz
Detailed
deliberations held regarding preparations for June 13 conference,
organizational expansion, social participation, and new strategies
Prayagraj,
17 May (HS): The All India Pasmanda
Muslim Mahaz has taken an important initiative to organize the Pasmanda community
and effectively raise its voice from villages, blocks, and districts to the
government level. In the online Zoom meeting of the Eastern and Central Uttar
Pradesh unit held on Sunday, extensive discussions were conducted on issues
such as organizational expansion, social awareness, education, healthcare, and
solutions to administrative problems.
Addressing
the meeting, National President Parvez Hanif presented a detailed roadmap for
the future of the organization. He stated that to work effectively in a large
state like Uttar Pradesh, it is essential to further strengthen the
organizational structure. Therefore, the state will be divided into four major
zones—Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh, Central Uttar Pradesh, and
Bundelkhand—to accelerate organizational activities.
Separate
coordination mechanisms will be developed in each region so that local issues
can be understood more effectively and appropriate action plans can be prepared
accordingly. Mr. Hanif said, “If we want the voice of society to reach the
government, we must first develop organizational strength and a culture of
dialogue within the community.”
He
clarified that the Mahaz will no longer remain limited to urban areas but will
actively expand its units to district and block levels. Formation of local
teams, regular meetings, and social awareness campaigns will be given priority.
National
Executive Officer Mohammad Yunus explained the ideological direction of the
organization and stated that the Mahaz has no conflict with any individual,
institution, or community. Its sole objective is to ensure the social,
educational, and economic upliftment of the Pasmanda community.
He
added that the meeting was not merely an organizational formality, but a
reflection of the growing social consciousness and self-respect of the Pasmanda
community. Speakers emphasized that the time has come for the community not to
remain merely a subject of political discourse, but to become an active
participant in policymaking and social engagement.
Organization
Secretary Advocate Saeed Ujjaman informed that zonal presidents and executive
presidents for all four zones—Eastern, Central, Western Uttar Pradesh, and
Bundelkhand—will soon be appointed. Following this, the process of appointing
presidents at division, district, and block levels will also be completed. The
upcoming meeting in Lucknow has been considered significant for achieving this
organizational goal.
National
Vice President Shaista Salmani stated that the organization is actively working
to bring women into the mainstream. She noted that enthusiasm among women is
increasing rapidly. She also announced the formation of a separate WhatsApp
group for women to connect them with the objectives of the organization and
encourage their active participation in society.
The
meeting acknowledged that the Pasmanda community still faces serious challenges
related to social and educational backwardness. To address these issues,
special emphasis was laid on educational assistance, youth leadership
development, women’s participation, and strengthening social dialogue. Separate
cells related to healthcare, education, and social assistance will also be
activated.
Uttar
Pradesh Co-Media In-charge Dr. Mohammad Azhar emphasized the need to promote
academic and social activities. He stressed the importance of bringing Pasmanda
issues to the national level through research, media discourse, and social
campaigns.
State
Vice President and Lucknow Office In-charge Abdul Ilyas Salmani shared details
regarding preparations for the upcoming conference scheduled for June 13. He
informed that a coordination committee will be formed for the Lucknow meeting.
Literature related to Pasmanda discourse will also be exhibited during the
conference. In the future, large-scale public dialogue programs and conferences
will be organized.
The
meeting also reached consensus on organizational expansion, medical assistance,
legal aid, educational support systems, activation of social media networks,
and ensuring outreach to every village. Among those prominently present on the
occasion were Afzal Ansari, Tanveer Fatima, Saniya Ansari, Faiyaz Alvi,
Advocate Ejaz, and office bearers and members from various districts.
