Nagpur. 16 May
(HS): Heat wave continues in Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region, with temperature
hitting 46 degrees Celsius in Amravati and Wardha on Saturday. Akola registered
the highest temperature at 45.4 degrees, Yavatmal and Brahmapuri were sizzling at
45.2 degrees.
Rise in night
temperature in the region has made the life difficult for the people. The minimum
temperatures on Friday were between 27 and 30 degree Celsius. Nagpur was at
43.8 degrees due to cloudy weather and showers on Friday. Saturday evening is
also cloudy in Nagpur.
The public
health machinery is ready with arrangements to handle the heat stroke patients.
Frequent power failures, however, make the issue more serious.
