Prayagraj,
16 May (HS): A memorandum of strong protest was submitted on Saturday against
the controversial statement of BJP leader Nitesh Rane comparing AIMIM party
with terrorist organization and party's national president MP Barrister
Asaduddin Owaisi with former Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
Speaking
to a media channel, Maharashtra Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader
Nitesh Rane made an indecent and controversial statement, calling the AIMIM a
terrorist organization and comparing the party's national president, MP
Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi, to former Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden. This has
caused widespread anger among party workers.
Regarding
this statement, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) today
submitted a memorandum to the President through the District Magistrate,
demanding strict legal action against Rane's statement. Metropolitan President
Afsar Mahmood stated that the AIMIM is a registered party with the Election
Commission of India, whose elected MPs and MLAs represent the country's
Parliament and Legislative Assembly, and councillors in municipal corporations,
municipalities, town councils, and district panchayats in various headquarters.
Therefore, calling a party registered by the Election Commission of India a
terrorist organization is against the law, the Constitution, and the Election
Commission's guidelines. Such a controversial statement constitutes a crime.
Appropriate action should be taken against the controversial statement made by
such a hawkish minister.
The
Maharashtra government should immediately dismiss the minister who made such a
controversial statement from its cabinet and publicly apologize to the
barrister and all party workers for his controversial statement against the
AIMIM party and its national president, Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi. Despite India
being the world's largest democratic, constitutional, secular republic, a case
should be filed against a party and individual for openly spreading hatred
through the media to set a religious agenda. The statement made by Minister
Nitesh Rane is controversial, indecent, unconstitutional, and condemnable. This
act by a minister who took an oath to the Constitution and holds a ministerial
position falls within the scope of legal proceedings. Appropriate action should
be taken. A stringent case should be filed against those who made
controversial, irresponsible statements, including false and misleading
allegations that madrasas are centers of terrorism and that guns are found in
madrasas instead of books.
The
main people who submitted the memorandum were Qureshi Ahmed Jafri, Ali Sher
Khan, Nizamuddin, Syed Irshad Alam, Iftekhar Ahmed Mandar, Meraj Ahmed, Shariq
Kaleem, Zubair Ahmed, Riazul Haq, Mohammad Ali, Anil Yadav, Tarannum, Mohammad
