Prayagraj, 12 May

(HS): Engineer Sunil Kushwaha, National President of the Pragatisheel Samaj

Party, described the LPG gas crisis in Prayagraj as a matter of serious concern

and demanded immediate intervention from the district administration. He warned

that if immediate arrangements are not made, a movement will be launched in the

interest of students.

In this regard, Kushwaha spoke with

the ADM Civil Supply over the phone and demanded immediate provision of a

smooth gas supply for students and the establishment of authorized centers in

various neighborhoods to refill small cylinders, so that students could receive

relief and continue their preparation uninterrupted. He also questioned the

government's claim that there is no gas shortage, while the ground reality is

completely opposite.

PSP chief Kushwaha

said that Prayagraj is a major educational center in the country, where

millions of students live to prepare for various competitive exams. These

students often manage their daily lives by filling small cylinders with 2 to 3

kg of gas. However, due to the recent LPG gas shortage, domestic cylinders are

not available on time despite booking, while commercial cylinders are virtually

non-existent. Local small shopkeepers have also stopped refilling gas, further

exacerbating the students' situation. He said that due to this crisis, students

are forced to either eat expensive meals in hotels or return home, affecting

both their studies and future.
