Birbhum, 09 April (H.S.):

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said he was about to address a massive public rally in the Birbhum district of West Bengal, describing the venue as “overflowing” with people who had come to shower their blessings on the BJP.

In a brief social‑media post moments before taking the stage, he projected an image of a deeply energised base and declared, “It’s BJP all the way in West Bengal!” signalling the party’s confidence ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.

PM Modi’s remark painted Birbhum, one of the state’s politically sensitive and violence‑scarred districts—as a symbolic rallying ground for the BJP’s campaign to break the Trinamool Congress’ hold over rural Bengal.

The Prime Minister’s upbeat tone stood in contrast to lingering concerns about law‑and‑order and agrarian distress in the region, yet he chose to foreground enthusiasm and numerical strength. His closing line—“It’s BJP all the way in West Bengal!” was crafted as both a claim of inevitability and a rallying cry for supporters, reinforcing the party’s narrative of a decisive political shift in the state by the time constituencies head to the polls.
