Mumbai, 08 Apr (HS): Nationalist Congress Party

(Sharad Pawar) leader Samarjitsinh Ghatge embraced Bharatiya Janata Party on

Wednesday. BJP Maharashtra Regional Unit President Ravindra Chavan welcomed

Ghatge and assured him proper respect in the party. Minister for Higher and

Technical Education Chandrakant Patil was also present.

Frustrated for rejection of his application for

Assembly elections in 2024, Ghatge had left BJP to join NCP (SP). He contest

against Hasan Mushrif from Kolhapur constituency and lost the election. Ghatge

returned to BJP on Wednesday.

Ghatge thanked party leaders Chavan and Patil and

said that he will work under the lreadership and guidance of Kolhapur District

Unit President Dhananjay Mahadik.
