
Bhubaneswar, 08 April (H.S.): The Odisha government has approved the direct recruitment of 1,363 Junior Revenue Assistant (JRA) posts to further strengthen the state’s revenue administration. The decision was taken in a committee meeting chaired by the Principal Secretary of the Finance Department.
In this regard, Dr. Arbind Padi, Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue and Disaster Management Department, has written to all District Collectors with detailed instructions. The recruitment process will be conducted across all 30 districts of the state through direct selection.
The letter specifies that reservation will be ensured for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, socially and educationally backward classes, women, persons with disabilities, ex-servicemen, and sportspersons in accordance with the number of vacancies in each district.
District Collectors have been directed to coordinate with the Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) to facilitate prompt online application submissions. The Revenue Secretary expressed confidence that this initiative will enhance the efficiency of revenue administration and expand public service delivery across the state.
