Lucknow, April 29 (HS): With the

aim of increasing enrolment in schools as well as providing better and

well-equipped educational environment to the children, the Yogi government has

given special emphasis on strengthening the basic facilities while accelerating

the transformation of schools across the state. In this sequence, Additional

Chief Secretary, Basic and Secondary Education, Parth Sarathi Sen Sharma has

issued instructions to all Divisional Commissioners and District Magistrates,

saying that the infrastructural deficiencies present in the schools should be

identified and removed immediately on priority basis. He said that lack of

essential facilities in any school will no longer be acceptable and all the

institutions will be developed as per the prescribed standards.

By strengthening the basic infrastructure in the field of education,

concrete steps are being taken continuously towards ensuring quality education,

so that every child of the state can get a better and well-equipped school

environment. While reviewing the work done so far under 'Operation Kayakalp', a

special campaign will be launched to remove the remaining deficiencies. Under

this, the needs of every school will be assessed through gap analysis and they

will be fulfilled. Where there is a shortage of resources, necessary

arrangements will be ensured with the help of Corporate Social Responsibility

(CSR) and related departments, so that no school is deprived of basic

facilities.

Instructions have been given to

further strengthen the infrastructure in secondary schools under 'Project

Alankar'. Officials have been clearly told that any deficiencies found in

schools should be addressed on a priority basis. If additional resources are

required, a consolidated proposal should be prepared and sent to the department

to ensure a timely solution. Instructions have also been given to expedite the

process of connecting all schools to the 'Vidyanjali Portal'. Through this

portal, schools will register their needs, and those needs will be met through NGOs,

CSR, and other partners. This will be continuously monitored at the district

level.
