Ayodhya,
April 27 (HS): On Monday, in
Ayodhya, state Cabinet Minister Surya Pratap Shahi launched a scathing attack
on the Congress and Samajwadi Party at a press conference. He said that due to
these parties' anti-women mentality, bills related to the Nari Vandan Act have
not been passed in the Lok Sabha. Therefore, women are angry with these
parties. During a press conference held on Monday at the BJP office in
Sahadatganj, Ayodhya district minister in charge, Surya Pratap Shahi, launched
a scathing attack on the opposition, accusing them of betraying half the
population. He said that the opposition's attitude on the issue of women's
reservation reflects a completely anti-women mentality, which has caused anger
among women across the country.
The Minister-in-Charge stated
that the opposition's demand for religion-based reservations is completely
unconstitutional and contrary to the spirit of the country's Constitution. He
alleged that by voting against the bill, Priyanka Gandhi, Dimple Yadav, and
other women MPs from opposition parties have proven that they only want to
limit women's empowerment to their own families.
State
Agriculture Minister Shahi further stated that this opposition's stance is
being opposed across the country. Women are protesting in various locations and
expressing their anger, and when the time comes, they will respond
democratically. Surya Pratap Shahi stated that the BJP government is fully
committed to the dignity and rights of women and is continuously working
towards women's empowerment. Several senior BJP officials and public
representatives were present at the press conference.
